Local Places to Shop (And Park for Free!)

As Carrie Bradshaw once said, "Shopping is my cardio," and I could not agree more with her on this novel idea. However, my cardio (shopping) habit really can't get any more expensive. That's why I was devastated when I heard that Cherry Creek was going to start charging for parking. A single shopping experience at the mall can already be expensive when some of the best stores there are Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, Free People, and an array of others. To keep my shopping habit (somewhat) affordable I have turned to places other than the mall. Below are some of my favorite places to shop that have free parking!

Who needs to go to Urban Outfitters when you can go to this wonderful boutique?! It's definitely one of my favorite boutiques in Denver. It's tiny but packed with amazing jewelry, great clothes, and a staff that rivals Nordstrom's. They also have a plethora of bodysuits. Jewelius is my go-to place for party outfits, date night outfits, and is the perfect place to find trendy and refreshingly new pieces. This great boutique is located in the Highlands where you can find tons of street parking.

Denver Fashion Truck

You no longer need to scour mall kiosks for unique gifts, just stop by the Denver Fashion Truck brick and mortar store. This store is a great place to find home goods, unique trinkets, and an array of apparel made by Denver designers. It's a great place to find gifts for your best friends and yourself. Denver Fashion Truck is located in Sunnyside Neighborhood and is a couple doors down from SubRosa Mercantile, another fun place to find unique items.

Spinster Sisters Co.

Why go to Bath and Body Works when you can go to Spinster Sisters Co.? Instead of buying soaps and scrubs full of harsh chemicals you can purchase the organic versions at any of the three locations (they're located in RiNo, Golden, and Cherry Creek North. I suggest the RiNo or Golden locations to take advantage of the free parking). Spinster Sisters Co. offers essential oil kits, beard oil, body butter, all natural deodorant, and of course, soaps and scrubs. Each product is packaged in recycled material, good for your body, good for the Earth!
