Spring Fever Outfit Inspiration

In Denver, Spring basically starts as soon as patios remove the chain links from the chairs and we get to bask in the Mile High City’s rays during brunch, happy hour, etc. Spring started in February this year and we couldn’t be happier. Yes, we know it will probably snow again (and that this is potentially really bad for the environment) but can we see the bright side for a bit?? At least this weather gives us a chance to bring out the goods that have been hiding in the back of our closets. We also have to give ourselves a pat on the back for the lack of shopping we have done. This weather makes any girl want to shop but instead, we have been thrifting, swapping clothes, and having borrowing parties. (This is basically a getting ready party but instead you get to wear your best friend’s shirt you have been eyeballing). Speaking of clothing swaps, join the trend and visit Swap Social at C Squared Ciders in RiNo Saturday March 4th from 9 am to 1 pm. More info can be found at https://www.facebook.com/events/1220788704672331/  and the proceeds go to some killer organizations!

Okay, back to blog biz…

Hope is wearing her BFF’s light weight green trench style jacket paired with her favorite wear-again ripped boyfriend jeans from H & M. According to Hope it is always crop top season, so she has paired this combo with a simple Forever 21 crop. As far as accessories go, Hope is gearing up for all weather conditions by adding her favorite hat and circle scarf to the mix.

Of all the things that were collected at a friend’s clothing swap one of Hope’s favs is this lace tank top. Of course she is wearing her favorite jeans but this amazing top would also pair nicely with black bottoms and once swim suit season is in full force, she will have a good excuse to show off her bikini when the pool party is over. Because the tank is lace, Hope is wearing a strappy bra from Victorias’ Secret. (This is seriously an essential item in any fashionistas closet.) Although it is not totally open toed shoe season, how could you say no to these Dolce Vita wedges that you can rock in any weather? Because they are black they go with almost anything and they are comfy enough to wear to a concert or out to dinner with your girlfriends.

Grace is wearing a long skirt from Lace & Whiskey that is part of her classic capsule wardrobe, ready to be dressed up, down, fancy or in this case- cozy with her peephole sweater from Hailee Grace in Larimer Square (shout out for shopping local when you aren’t clothes swapping). She is also ready for any weather with wool hat and Splendid booties.

As for a “Spring time in February” (still doesn’t feel right even if the outfits does…) night out option Grace dresses up her fav Flying Monkey distressed sage green denim with heels, a tucked in blouse & classic duster sweater (all part of her wear again (and again) capsule wardrobe! It may be feeling like spring but let’s be honest you can’t leave the house without a cozy sweater regardless the season and Grace holds to this all year round.

As for the muscle tanks rocking their fav new saying- Namasté  NASTY- layered over denim for a street style classic with flannels at the ready in case a breeze rolls through the patio. Of course these babies can be rocked at your local yoga studio for a little sass & best yet these tanks were designed with the resistance in mind!! 1% of their proceeds are donated to organizations empowering women’s rights across the globe plus they were Made in America with 100% organic, cotton & bamboo!
