Sam Explores Etsy - Lunar Jewelry

The beauty of Etsy is that every product you come across is either hand made, vintage, or a combination of the two. This platform allows artists to share their passion with anyone in the world. Sometimes, however, you are provided with more options than you even know what to do with. In order to narrow down the search results and showcase some amazing artists that are actually a part of your community, this series will feature a handful of unique Denver Etsy shops. The theme I selected for this week is a trend I really enjoy; lunar jewelry. I found a selection of lunar themed items, and some extremely talented and interesting artists behind them. It takes a substantial amount of time and thought to bring a design to life. Read up to learn more about the people who have brought their dreams to reality!

Lauren Peritzman: jewelry designer, photographer, mother and sole owner of Lauren Blythe Designs. Originating as a bridal jewelry and accessory designer, she longed to branch out and produce jewelry on a more personal level. Inspired by the elegance, romance and unknown stories held within vintage pieces, she began incorporating this feel with her own personal style. What does Lauren bring to the Denver fashion community we ask? “Hopefully a sense of style with a vintage flair. Possibly a heirloom to be passed down for many generations, or that special bridal necklace for her wedding day. As long as it’s cherished, I have succeeded!” Check out her shop and pick out your own, one-of-a-kind piece!

Looking for something unique to add to your wardrobe? Za Dee Da’s whimsical, steam punk designs are far from ordinary. Browse their fantastic inventory or create a custom design of your own!

After great success in the Denver art community with their first boutique, husband and wife duo, Greg and Vicki Butler, were able to expand their creative productivity. In addition to Za Dee Da, this couple manages three other shops (Tzaddishop, Tzaddihome and Wild Wordz)! By merging their interests and skills, they make the perfect team. After two decades of designing wallpaper collections worldwide (successfully licensing two collections with Cirque du Soleil), Vicki shifted her creativity and design background to jewelry. In addition, Greg’s knowledge of engineering makes for a mystic, unusual twist: hence, Za Dee Da, “la dee da with a twist!”

Growing up surrounded by artists and the spectacular scenery of Washington and Colorado has always been inspiration for Heather Clausen, owner of Indigo Dreamer Designs. She began creating jewelry about 3 years ago as gifts for family and friends. The love and excitement over her products soon motivated her to join the Etsy community. “My ultimate goal is to share everything that inspires me and essentially myself, with every dreamer, wanderer and all who are young at heart.” She strives to include all of the natural elements she loves in her jewelry: nature, the moon and stars, indigo-violet, dreams and the entirety of the universe itself. Clausen is overjoyed each and every time her customers express excitement and satisfaction for her products. Each item is completely unique, personalized and triple checked for quality. Bring something completely new to your style, and express yourself through her designs!
