An Outfit that Is Sure to Ignite Envy

It begins when we start school and really is a never ending cycle from there. St. Patrick’s Day sneaks up on us and we either are lucky that we happen to be wearing green that day, have to make something up (my eyes are green, duh!), or we are out of luck. We pinch those green-abstainers to do the job for leprechauns and because it’s tons of fun to get our best friends when they least expect it. Be prepared this St. Patty’s Day. Wear green, own it, and be on the winning side this year!

March 17th is quickly approaching so now’s the time to start raiding your closet for green! Green clothing isn’t something most people have a large stock of (unless you’re The Green Lady of Brooklyn), but this St. Patrick’s Day, I’m challenging you to go big and go green! Don’t just throw your hair up in a green hair tie and hope everyone sees it.

Here’s some reasons why you should be excited to wear green!

1. The color of the year is pantone! In 2017 you’ll see more green than ever; incorporated in weddings, landscapes, fashion trends, architecture, design, you name it!

2. It’s said that humans sees green more than any other color in the spectrum so you should be bold and wear more green to stand out.

3. There are more shades of green than we can count. You don’t like lime? Don’t worry, there’s olive, hunter, emerald, and so much more.

4. Spring is almost here, so celebrate the greenery and warm weather that’s coming!

Okay so now that I’ve sold you that green is amazing and St. Patrick’s Day is the greatest excuse to wear it, here’s some fashion inspiration that will have you seeing green!

You don’t have to be tacky when you’re wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day. No one said leprechaun top hats and green neck bow ties are the only way to celebrate. Instead, pull inspiration from St. Patty’s traditions to build your outfit.

This Ebony Emerald Velvet Dress from Sugar + L!PS is bold, green, and perfect for this holiday. With a floral print that is more tasteful than four leaf clovers, it’s the ultimate St. Patty’s statement piece and what we’re gonna build the rest of the outfit around. This dress goes great alone or, if you want the leprechaun vibe, with this Girlfriend Belt from Urban Outfitters. To match the belt, ‘Peaches’ Leather Boots from my fav, Steve Madden, pulls the whole thing together. And lastly, if you’re predicting some chill at this year's St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Denver, throw on a neutral cardigan and grab this Hazlmay Bethany Large Satchel to hold your Green Marble IPhone Case from Richmond & Finch and all the gold you collect.

The best way to be pinch proof this St. Patrick’s Day? Wear green and own it! Green comes in so many shades, is eye catching, and is gonna be dominating this year!
