A New Beauty Routine

I always hear people saying they want a fresh start. What about a new beauty routine for a change? In order for you to get a healthier-looking skin you not only need to eat healthy, drink water and take vitamins, it is important that you have high self-esteem (I’m serious); and a beauty routine!!!!!! I believe this can help you get the skin you want, just remember is like going on a diet, you will not lose all the weight the first day, you need to be committed and constant to see results.

First of all you must find out what type of skin you have (mine is a mix) so you can get the product that best fits your needs. For a daily beauty routine you will need a makeup remover, daily scrub, foaming and/or oil cleanser, face toner, face moisturizer, eye cream, BB or CC Cream (optional) and sunscreen.

I usually do this twice a day, in the morning and before going to bed.

In The Morning:

1. If you forgot to wash your face last night, use makeup remover or facial cleansing wipes before starting the routine. 2. I use both foaming and oil cleanser to wash my face (specially during winter) but you can use the one that you are comfortable with, however, if you have dry skin because of the weather I recommend you use both. When washing your face use warm water, if the water is too cold it can dry your skin.

image 3. Apply the daily scrub gently using your middle and ring finger, then rinse off. 4. Apply the toner with a cotton ball. 5. Using your ring finger apply the eye cream, softly. 6. Apply the face moisturizer with your middle and ring finger; don’t forget to apply it on your neck.

image 7. If you are going to apply make up you can use a BB or CC cream, I use a CC with SPF 20. 8. Last but not least is sunscreen. The one that I use is a mist that you can spray all over your face after makeup. Typically you apply sunscreen after the face moisturizer (at least is how I do it), but it depends on the product that you are using and the beauty routine.

At Night:

1. Use makeup remover or facial cleansing wipes. 2. Foaming and oil cleanser. 3. Apply the daily scrub, then rinse off. 4. Apply the toner with a cotton ball. 5. Using your ring finger apply the night eye cream, softly. 6. Apply the night cream with your middle and ring finger; don’t forget to apply it on your neck.

They say it takes about 3 weeks to create a habit. Try to do this for a month and I’m sure you will be doing it for the rest of your life. Your skin will look amazing and everyone will see the difference.
