EIC Behind the Scenes: Two in Tow with Heidi Yarger

image-8 This shoot was an insane amount of fun. I had met Heidi through a blogger meet-up that she organized in the late summer. She's a mom that really gets sh*t done and I truly look up to her. Not only does she manage a design/blog empire through Spitfire Girl Design/Spitfire Mom Society, her home is white-glove clean with stylish luxe accents, she'sย mom to two photo-ready kids, and I showed up to warm banana bread. What?!?!?! She's a powerhouse stuffed into a very petite 5-feet.

I pulled clothes from Sous le Lit Boutique because they have beautiful items that are well made and ready to stand up to the toughness of being a mom. The boots have a little heel but are still 'runable' (i.e., you can run after your toddler in them). Erin provided a gentle primp to Heidi and we were so lucky to have Julianne Brasher photograph the spread for us.

We started in Heidi's office, where she's admittedlyย spray painted everything gold. And, she has. But in a super chic way. And then...we brought in Noe. She melts my heart every time I see her. I don't quite know that she feels the same, but we'll get there. Noe is a complete natural in front of the camera. She's mesmerized yet keeps her cool. (note: things to learn from a baby).

We eventually picked up Heidi's son from school and unfortunately what I didn't capture was myself running back and forth with Heidi's rambunctious little boy trying to get the perfect shot. As much as I love adults, hanging out with kids for moments at a time is pretty radical. In her feature, Heidi gives really great mom trips to staying stylish and keeping up with every-day life and she promises to share more.

Thank you so much to Sous le Lit Boutique, Julianne Brasher, Erin Luke, and Heidi for your talents, time, and great times.
