Keep spring simple with these basics:
- flowy summer dresses = warm weathers chic way of wearing a mumu.
- wedges = the easiest high heels to wear
- brunch = your weekend excuse to be a glutton for style...err...food.
Last weekend Denver Style Magazine bloggers were hosted to an incredibly prepared brunch at Capitol Hill Mansion Bed & Breakfast Inn, in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. This quiet gem on the corner of Pennsylvania and 12th houses travelers and locals looking for a city stay-cation, and hosts private breakfasts, brunches, lunches, and dinners in their dining room or garden. Book your Mother's Day Brunch and WOW the ladies in your life with a delectable menu exquisitely prepared by Chef Carl and staff. We then took our group to The Molly Brown House for a Private Tour of the Diamonds in the Daytime Exhibit that remains open until August. Get your tickets here.
I have special ties to Inspyre Boutique. It was the first boutique I visited when moving here and Britni Jensen had just opened and was still running the cash register. My office at the time was nearby and I became a frequent shopper...and still am. When Britni messaged me and asked if she could provide gifts to our bloggers for an upcoming event, I replied with a ton of unnecessary emoji's and a big giant YES!
What none of us expected were individualized mugs and gift cards to shop! Every blogger received a mug with a special message, and we all received the mug 'we were supposed to'. I planted basil in mine and remind myself every morning I water my growing plant to:
Thank you Britni + Inspyre Boutique. We love you more.
Oh yea. This dress though. I actually chose this dress because I was excited about the rope-tassle belt that comes with, and what I didn't realized was how beautifully the fabric moves because of the placement of the slits. There's a slit on either side which almost creates a 'loin cloth' effect, but flows beautifully with a slight breeze. If you're looking to create elegance in your step while still being a goof...this dress is for you and you can get it here! It's totally danceable. Proof is here
I paired this beautiful summer dress with a drop necklace that has two chains attached and wore one of the sides of the necklace backwards to drape down the backless dress and wedges that were comfortable enough to continue my day in.
The Black Velveteen, Lucille even made a special Editor Wears appearance.
