For the month of February, Balefire Goods welcomes local artist Brad Jeske for an exhibit of his abstract oil paintings
Brad Jeske is a Denver based painter that uses oil painting as his principal medium of expression. He received art instruction at the Art Student’s league in New York and Indiana State University in Evansville where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. His eclectic style spans both organic and geometric compositions but, in the main, he is inspired by forms found in nature: the manifold shapes of plants and insects and bones and landscape. Brad studies these forms in nature with many sketches and drawings in order to assimilate them into his imagination. Familiarity with nature’s architecture provides a basis for reinvention in many of his paintings. Brad strives for harmony in terms of color and composition and aims to conjure original or alien scenes that provide an exciting sense of discovery.
Join us for drinks, snacks, and a wonderful evening celebrating local art. In addition to our opening, Olde Town Arvada is a great destination for First Friday with openings at Vouna, The Cereal Box, Hunter Bay Coffee Roasters, Gallery 1874, Light Rail Gallery, Grand Lake Brewing, Arvada Ceramic Arts Guild, New Image, and more.
